🌟 New to Sequoya? Start Here!🌟

Welcome to the Sequoya community! We’re so glad you’re here. To help you get started and stay connected throughout the school year, here are five important steps every new family should take:

1. Create Your Sequoya APT Account

Join the Sequoya APT website to gain full access to important school information, event details, and exclusive APT features.
When signing up, be sure to:

  • Complete your family profile

  • Add each of your children, including their current grade level

  • Select their assigned teacher so you receive classroom-specific updates

2. Download and Register on the ParentSquare App

ParentSquare is the primary communication tool used by the school and teachers.
Make sure you sign up and download the app to receive:

  • Important announcements from the school

  • Classroom updates and teacher messages

  • Event notifications and reminders

3. Connect with Your Room Parent

Your Room Parent plays a vital role in supporting both teachers and families throughout the year.
Be sure to:

  • Get their contact information

  • Confirm that you’re receiving their weekly class updates

Room Parents help coordinate volunteers, plan classroom celebrations, and make sure teachers feel supported and appreciated all year long.

4. Explore Volunteer Opportunities

Sequoya thrives on parent involvement. Check out our current volunteer opportunities on the APT website.

Each classroom also has its own volunteer sign-up coordinated by the Room Parent, so keep an eye out for ways to help in your child's class.

5. Get Involved with Our Committees

Want to make a bigger impact? Join one of our many APT committees!

  • Visit our website to see which roles are currently open

  • Interested in a committee that’s not listed as open?
Reach out to the VP for that committee to see if there’s still room to help. We’d love to have you involved!

Getting connected is the first step in making the most of your Sequoya experience.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to a member of our APT board—we’re here to help!
